A podcast show is the ongoing series. An episode is one item in that series. Confusing the two can produce a feed where every episode looks the same or where a single episode title accidentally becomes the show's name.
Write two small records
For the show, record the series title, description, language, artwork and other required publisher information. For the episode, record its own title, summary, audio file, publication details and stable identifier.
For example, a series about community gardens might have an episode about preparing soil. The episode title should identify that topic. The show title should still identify the ongoing series when the next episode covers a different subject.
Use the hosting tool's current fields and the destination's feed requirements to place each value. Do not infer the correct field only from where text appears in one listening app.
Review the result outside the form
After saving, inspect the generated feed or use the hosting tool's preview. Check the show information and one episode separately. A form can save successfully while the wrong field still contains the wrong text.
Avoid changing stable identifiers while correcting a title or description. Metadata edits should not accidentally make a published episode look like a new item.
Keep a brief record of the previous values before a major show-level change. This helps when a directory still shows an older title from its own update cycle. Explain to the team whether the change affects one episode or the whole series. That simple distinction keeps publishing reviews focused and prevents a small correction from becoming an unexpected catalog-wide update.
