01

Record locally

The master does not depend on live internet quality.

  • Mac recording stored in the local episode project
  • Remote participants record on their own devices
  • Connection audio is not presented as the final master

02

Keep the source intact

Edits stay as project decisions until export.

  • Original recording preserved
  • Revision history and undo
  • Explicit export destination

03

Upload with intent

Only recovery tracks and published media use the backend.

  • Authenticated host operations
  • Short-lived room and relay credentials
  • Account deletion removes owned hosted media

FAQ

Does nothing ever leave my Mac?

That would be misleading. Remote recovery and podcast hosting require uploads; local editing itself happens in the Mac app.

Is Podbento end-to-end encrypted?

Podbento does not currently make that marketing claim.
